1. Where are you located?

Sweet Samantha Cakes is located in Ascot Vale, and services the greater Melbourne area and beyond!

2. If I send you a photo of a cake, could you copy it for me?

At Sweet Samantha Cakes, we welcome visual inspiration. However, we will not copy another's work - we would much prefer to make the cake uniquely yours.

3. When is payment required?

A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking, with your final balance due 1 week prior to your booked date.

4. What if I need to cancel my booking?

We encourage you to get in touch as soon as you can to discuss the situation (although personal information is not needed to be discussed), so that we may come to an agreement based on the circumstance. Your deposit is non-refundable, however it can be transferred to another booking within 6 months.

5. Can I taste your cakes prior to booking?

Sample boxes are available by request! You get to choose 4 flavours and fillings that you would like to try. A samples box will then be curated just for you! These come at a cost of $50. They are ideal for those wanting to (or already have!) book us for larger events with future dates.

6. Do you provide flowers?

Yes! We work with a number of local florists and can work with you to obtain the florals you desire. I can also work with your event florist and arrange florals onsite for your function (generally for weddings and engagements).

7. Do you charge for delivery?

Delivery is charged from $20 and is dependent on location and distance. Pick up from our Ascot Vale kitchen is always welcome. Our operating hours are Mon-Sat 9-5 and Sun 9-10am.

8. How many serves are in each cake?

It is important to know when and how your cake will be served to answer this question! Is it for a party where your guests will only want a small slice? Or will it be served as a dessert at a sit-down meal?

Canapé / Coffee Portions are 1" x 1" x 4" slices (the most popular)

Dessert Portions are 1" x 2" x 4"

9. How much are your cakes?

Each cake is custom designed individually for you and your event.

6" x 8" (20-40 serves) from $200

7" x 8" (30-60 serves) from $300

8" x 8" (40-80 serves) from $400

2 tier cakes FROM $360

Portion Guide: I do offer a slightly larger portion size to ensure you will have enough cake for your event and to be able to offer all your guests. When comparing cake pricing and sizes please take into consideration the portions offered. For further clarification please enquire

Dessert 1"x2"x4" (for a sit down meal where the cake is plated and served as your main dessert)

Coffee 1"x1"x4" (most popular. For stand up/canapé style functions, as an after dessert offering, to acompany other desserts)
